Venue: Patyolat, Budapest, Hungary
Physical and mental exercises to survive, in three parts (in three days).
Three contemporary dancers were asked to realize three site specific pieces for the exhibition “Holiday”, curated by Gyula Muskovics and Andrea Soós. The exhibition which the performances become part of, dealt with the role of leisure time in the resistance to political pressures. During the performances one could encounter strategies and situations revolving around pleasure and caring. While the performances approached the way Western societies offer medication for the stressed soul and the exhausted body in an ironic manner, each piece declared the importance of expressing feelings, emotions, intimacy and personal viewpoints in art.
