Archive II (The Beyond)
by Hollow
ongoing since 2020

The Archive is an ongoing and ever-expanding meta-project in which Hollow’s pre-existing worlds bleed into new ones. Comprising a series of texts, objects, and performances, it revolves around the inaccessibility of the future and the ways in which predictions and speculations shape the present.
The Archive unfolds through different chapters (see, for example, Archive X (The Skin) or Archive III (Baby)), each taking on various physical and/or virtual forms.
It also includes an interactive online platform that serves as a repository for Hollow’s speculative database, where its fragments are gathered and continuously expanded, illuminating new pathways and opening portals onto possible realities.
Archive II (The Beyond) is a continuation of Summit, a performance from 2019 in which Viktor Szeri, Tamás Páll, and Gyula Muskovics foreshadowed the obscure conditions of a planetary event that would radically alter life on Earth. While Summit, retrospectively titled Archive I, immerses the audience in the ultimate moment before the so-called “Future Event,” this iteration of The Archive takes place “in the beyond,” after the inevitable end.
The multimedia installation contemplates hope, childhood, aging, and memory in the company of specters interwoven with unbreakable metal webs. It first took form as a series of public performances at Placcc Festival in Budapest and was later transformed into an immersive environment and performance as part of the group exhibition Mine My Mind at art quarter budapest.
